Windows Vista will be available from January 2007, just a shame I only bought some new computing 3 months ago with a 3 year's guarantee and have been told that installing Windows Vista over my Windows XP would invalidate my guarantee. Microsoft makes an excellent downloadable testing facility available, enabling you to ascertain whether your existing computer is compatible with Windows Vista, e.g. the hardware in it, is able to produce these wonderful new 3-d effects. I was told that my recently acquired machine isn't quite up to scratch and I shall have to purchase a better graphics card amongst others.
